Kinks

We want to be respectful
about what we’re doing :
searching through the debris,
through our thoughts and prayers.
I’m just waiting to get a signal.

Catch and release
is not a crime.
That’s the bottom line.
We just hope they get it right
and make identifications.

You used to argue.
It got me sick.
It’s a process
working through the kinks.
It probably works out better this way.

I’m just waiting
to get a signal.
It could be 24 hours,
it could be 24 days.
We’ll see how it turns out.
